QRA Queens is fast approaching.
Hopefully a good number of FS and FO shooters will be at this event.
My wife and I shot at the Ipswich Prize Shoot last weekend with scope shooters being well represented. We had 12 shooters in F Open. A new FO shooter, Tom, from our club attended his first comp and went well. He now intends to shoot the Queens.

Another magnificent performance (12 points clear) by Ben Curley in the Duncan, with Peter Drew edging out 3 others for second. And a trifecta to the Bell "dynasty " in Open. Congrats to all.

Have just heard from Cameron by phone. Great field of 18 in F-Open! Weather is "twitchy".
The results are being posted HERE as I write this, but I know that in F-Open John Tracey (284 Win) won the day from Miechelle Knudson (6BR) and Cameron McEwen (6BR and 284 Win). The Japanese shooter Matsuno Satoru is using a 6.5-284. Cameron will try to get some more info about him tomorrow if he can break through the language barrier! And we might get some more calibres too.
In F-Std its been another Curley day I believe.

Its the end of Day 2 and Cameron has just "reported in". He says the weather was tougher today, with the wind increasing in strength as the ranges got longer, and drop-offs were difficult to pick.
As you can see from the RESULTS, Cameron, Stuart Elliot and Barry Lewis all had a good day, and that has put them in positions 1, 3 and 2 respectively in the progressive agg, with Day 1 leader John Tracey having a mediocre day by his standards, although he came good at 900, and is 4th, still close enough to challenge tomorrow, as is 5th place Andrew Pearce.
Some more calibres :
Stuart Elliot 6.5x47 Improved
Barry Lewis 284 Win
Andrew Pearce 6 Dasher or 6XC(?)
Phil Jones 6x47
Bevan Appleby 6 Dasher or 6XC(?)
Julie McEwan 6BR and 6.5x55
Geoff Miners 6.5x55
Annie Elliot 6x47
Raeburn Trindall 7mm-08(?)
Kelvin Bell 6x47
Peter Hayden 260 Rem
Daniel Lynch 308Win
Apparently the wind is quite strong this evening so things may be very challenging tomorrow for the 900 and 1000.
I see the usual suspects are leading in TR and F-Std (Buchanan/Curley). They are both very consistent and classy shooters.

Hey Alan - thanks for the congrats .
Conditions were really brutal at the longs with continual wind strength and direction changes and they were often really hard to see until it was to late . But I was wrapped to get there in the end . Well done to Cameron and Mark as well - they both shot superbly
Regards
