WOW
That is a fairly high tech , no expense spared type of training .
Can anyone tell me if the Australian team does anything like this ? Do we have the facilities that the yanks have ?
Excuse my ignorance , only new to this ...... but , how do we go against the Americans ?

Don't worry too much about what the yanks are up to.
Australia is the current F Open World Champion Team.

I see the blog that their shooters need to taught by Bryan Litz the importance of keeping the scope level and how to do a tall target test.
Maybe they are not as smart as they make out?
I wonder what the top secret training was? Maybe how to adjust their scopes?

I would bet that it involved some 5.11 tactical pants, one of those bleeding zombie targets, maybe some Tannerite and some guy saying send it. What they don't have is emu oil lubricated bullets like us good for an extra 250 fps and a 15% reduction in group size.

Hahahaha . Good one mate !
Just to point out , this is obviously Ftr ! But look at all the sponsors and goodies they get !
Well here in Se Qld ( as I can only speak for this area) our training camps are Dalby, Muckadilla, Bundy, NorthArm ( my knees knock just saying that word) Belmont and any other Opm and club shoot we do! The recent Qld Queens would make the U.S. Teams a little perplexed to say the least ! No Sponsors in that one too! All privately funded !
This was posted in our private forum and thought it was interesting to see what we are up against ! Also to fire up that Green and Gold Spirt within! Regards Graham.

F$#k me Brent, I warned you if you made the EMU oil info public I would cease supplying you, is that what you want?

Jason, Ipswich actually has an emu breeding program out near the range. This is obviously done to have the freshest emu oil on hand during a shoot. Dipping the tips in just before the round is chambered seems to be the go.

You should be keeping our secrets off the forums fellas. That goes for the 270 project as well...

Was that the 338 lap improved 270??
We don't rise to the level of our expectations, we fall to the level of our training. Archilochos 680-645 BC

Josh sadly the yanks know about this sort of practice. Their snipers rub their bullets in pig fat before using them against I.S.

DaveMc is on board!
Have just heard that Dave McNamara has nominated for F-Open Captain! That will no doubt please all others who have nominated for the Team. Good on you Dave for offering your services for what is a major undertaking in time and effort. As all from the 2013 Team know, Dave's wind coaching ability and substantial contribution to technical preparation and strategy was a key part of our success. I hope this encourages more F-Open shooters to put in their names, because this news gives a real boost to the Team's chances of success in Canada.
