Shane,

I'm keen to get back to Townsville, so unless you venture south in the meantime, I'll see you there?

Might see if we can make Canberra again this year?
Otherwise all going well the only south will be SW Texas? Midland later this year and SOA at Raton.

Is there anyone from NQ heading to the Nationals that will be going through Mackay?

I need something taking down & given to a fellow shooter. It's only a box about a foot square that doesn't weigh much.

Fairly sure the shooter will give you a big kiss !

Alan,

If you don't find someone headed south, I can baby sit the gear for you if need be.

Thanks Jason, I've already had a similar kind offer, which will probably be gratefully accepted, as it appears that Donald Trump has built a wall to stop all Mexicans from coming to the Queens :D .

Hi All
An interesting day of shooting yesterday, results are on the nraa site.
A couple of things of note were Liam Halls 60:8@300 and Kiwi Shane Kapene's 60:9@500
We shot the trans Tasman earlier and the NZ team have all stayed on to shoot the queens.
Last night a few of us watched the real football, only to see nsw robbed again :( one of our kiwi friends was going for the all blacks so at least he walked(or maybe crawled) away happy.
A few of the usual suspects might be feeling a bit ordinary today...
Looking forward to a few more arrivals for the queens and hopefully this sprinkle of rain falling on my tent roof will go away soon!
We don't rise to the level of our expectations, we fall to the level of our training. Archilochos 680-645 BC

Some of the news I got from the range is there has been some fairly flicky winds through transtasman and yesterday. Westerlies are the nightmare at Belmont and forecast to be strong again for day 1 of the Queens

Great shoot by Rod at 800 today, 60.10! But Kiwi Colin Brown still leads. Huge field in F/TR, biggest yet in Australia? Typically small F-Std field in the Nationals - the QRA Queens seems to the big F-Std event.

Jason Mayer's has dropped back to the field so both FO and Ftr very close at the top going into the 1000. Wish they would put up a progressive total on the NRAA site so I didn't have to try to add the scores up.

Congrats to Colin Brown in F-Open, Ben Curley in F-Std and Jason Mayers in F/TR =D> =D> =D> . Those Kiwis are used to the wind. Karori where Colin Brown shoots is a suburb of "windy Wellington". When they get a headwind there, they say your bullet sometimes lands behind you  .

Thanks Alan, and Congrats to the other winners.

A tricky day seen me drop 2 at both 8&900, long into the 1000 I only had a 1 point lead on Liam Hall, and bloody amazing young shooter, fortunely I dropped on 1 point at 1000 for a 59.5 with Liam dropping 5, my 59 locked the other players out for s 4 point lead to 2nd place.

What an amazing comp, the rivalry is 2nd to none and having people like Liam and Mark Fairbairn pushing is a big part of the final score.

Looking forward to the queens, good luck everyone!!

Hi Alan,

All the Wellington clubs (Karori, Petone & Trentham) shoot at Seddon range in Trentham, Upper Hutt

Watching the scores and conditions with interest from across the ditch :D
