See below the note put out by Philip Bain, Australian Match Rifle Association Secretary.
Cheers Cliff
All State Associations are invited to send both a Match Rifle Team and a Long Range F Class (Open) Team and we hope that you will consider ensuring that your State is represented in these team competitions.

In addition this year at the request of members, it I proposed to also trial an FTR Teams event to see if we can, over time, develop towards an official long range State teams event for this discipline as well. Dependent on overall number of teams entering and target availability it is proposed that this FTR event will run alongside the official Match Rifle and F Open State Team shooting a similar program.

Details for each team are provided below:

Match Rifle State Teams shall consist of between four (4) and six (6) members inclusive of Captain. Only four (4) shall shoot at each range. Any member of the squad may coach and coaches may also shoot. The disposition of the team may be varied e.g. the coach at one range may be a shooter for subsequent range/s and vice versa. Upon application and approval from the NRAA, shooters from any state or territory not already represented may combine to form a team. States with insufficient numbers of MR shooters to make a full team are therefore encouraged to look at this option for a combined team.

Long Range F Class State Teams consist of a minimum of three (3) and maximum of five (5) persons per team. The team may consist of a Captain, Coach and 3 shooters per distance shot, the Captain or Coach may shoot as well however there is a maximum of 4 persons to shoot throughout the teams Matches (NSW Match and Victoria Match). Team members must all be from the same State.

FTR Teams: consist of a minimum of two (2) and maximum of four (4) persons per team. The team may consist of a Captain, Coach and 2 shooters per distance shot, the Captain and/or Coach may be one of the shooters. Composite teams made of members from different States will be allowed provided that each State can only have representatives in one team.

I would ask each State to consider representative at this event and to progress a call for nominations and selection of the State teams as above.

If you have any questions in relation to the event please contact me.

Regards

Philip Bain
AMRA Secretary

F OPEN TEAM FOR COONABARABRAN
There are rumours being bandied around that NSW does not have a F Open Team for the National Match Rifle and Long Range Championships at Coonabarabran in the first week October.
Nothing could be more further from the truth. We have had a team ready since early May 2018.
NSW has a Captain, a Coach, 3 shooters and 1 reserve. Now if that does not constitute a team what does?
If anyone has any questions? My number is: 0407 249 817.
