Sellier & Bellot LR primers in 308

#1 Postby Joeyp » Mon Aug 19, 2019 1:05 pm

Hi all
Is anyone currently using S&B primers for their 308? I remember a while ago they were having problems with the normal LR primers piercing the primer cups so recommended to use LR Magnum primers in 308 due to the extra cup thickness.
Unfortunately they have bought out a new model called LR Boxer which apparently is ok for use in the 308 as per their website and do not make the magnum ones anymore.
Has anyone had experience with using the boxers for their 308 as I can not find much information about the boxer type primers.
Thanks

could boxer refer to the type of primer, as opposed to berdan.?
if so they no longer have a magnum and a std boxer primer unless so notated.
bruce.

Hi Bruce ,
I have been using them for over a year now with my Palma brass. I'm pretty sure there are a few guys from the cairns club that use them as well. Personally I have never had a problem with them.
