For those of you who are interested in small calibers.
I re barreled a 204 sako 85 in another 20 cal.
This time I was after something that fitted the sako mag better.
Matt ran a 204 Ruger reamer in short to suit the 222 case length.
He also shortened the standard Sizing die.
I sometimes have these hair brained ideas and Matt is rather patient- thanks
The following shows steps from 222 to 204 short
Pic under is 3 shots at 150yds
It runs the 39gn pills at 3650 fps with 23gn of BM1
Very happy

I have done a number of 20 HI chamberings. This is a 204 reamer run in to 223 case length. Dies shortened to 223 length, cases are formed in one pass, load & shoot. This chambering will launch a 40 grain bullet at around 3700 fps. the loaded round will fit all short action mags better than 204 Ruger. I have also done a couple of 22/204's which work very well in the longer short actions such as Howa, Tikka and Remington 700. This is a very efficient 22 cal for small bolt face actions with longer mags. Customers are reporting 3600 fps + with 50 grain bullets.

I once built a tikka lsa55 into a 20 practical. Easy way to explain it is a perfect 223 necked to 20 cal. Just size down with a 223 full length bushing die with 20 cal bushings. 39gr sierras at 3750 with the right powder. None of the ADI powders could match the velocity of reloader 10x. Good fox medicine.

I chased a 75 action for years and eventually chambered one in standard 204
The 75 magazine is longer than the 85
However, it has a 1/8 twist to enable running 55gr Bergers and they still require single loading!
I really love that caliber for rabbits as one can spot hits due to light recoil.

I have a L461 varmint chambered in 20 Vartarg and it's the rifle I reach for the most. Deadly on foxes.
