Howa 1500 stock suggestions

#1 Postby Lammi » Mon Feb 03, 2020 4:51 pm

Hi all, I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction of an F-class style stock made for a 1400 with a bull barrel please?

Cheers
Josh

Josh
Just looking over your previous posts, is this the same rifle that you fitted a GRS beserk stock to back in 2017 ?
F class, which one, FTR, FSTD or F Open , as stock requirements are completely different due to weight restrictions and whether mounting a bipod or shooting of a rest.

My truck doesn’t run on love, it runs on diesel.
However, I love my rifle and it runs on lead. #-o

Off the shelf? GRS
semi finished? Hatchers have a good fly/fclass blank
Custom. Any of the good custom makers should be able to inlet, but will require proper beddding.

My recommendation, unless you really like tinkering, is to avoid things like B&C, boyds, and the like. They tend to need alot of modification to get tgem to run well, with 3" flat forend and parralel butt. I modified a B& C and it worked well, but was always a compromise.

That's the one Mozzie. Barrel won't fit in the Beserk stock unfortunately. Want a better stock for benchrest anyway. I will follow FTR discipline and I'm shooting of a Seb joypod.
