Both my 280 Ackley's sit between 60.8 and 61.1 after the initial speed up. Usually giving me around the 2970fps
There is a lower node around 59.2 that gives me 2910fps but I found my 61.1 was a great node from 300 to 1000 yards
That was using 2217. I did try 2213 and 2209 but came back to 2217 as that gave me the best wide node for that caliber.

What brass and primer are you using and how is it holding up with that load mate?

Mine runs well at 59.4gr of 2217, and I did see some promising signs at 60.8gr during a practice stage which I will explore further when I'm back in Sydney next month.

I use cci br primers and Nosler brass. I am up to eight times loaded.
I am waiting for a custom small base die as the cases are getting a bit tight in the base
and fl does not quite get to it.
I fired one case 8 times with 62 grains for a test and seemed to hold up ok
Good luck with your testing

Thanks Pete, appreciate the feedback. I've been running Norma 280AI brass. Generally seems ok, I've lost one case due to a loose primer pocket, but as a comparison to the 284, the brass seems to hold up better than re-sized 284 lapua brass.
