Savage Model 10

Hi all
Just wondering if anyone out there has had any experience in working on Choate varmint stocks, i have a savage model 10 in a choate ultimate varmint stock ( as pictured below ) and i am looking for information on having a ten shot detachable magazine installed.

Is yours the model with the top/side bolt release ? If so then buy a choate tactical stock, or GRS beserk model 12 and sell your stock on usedguns. If it has the bolt release in the trigger guard then the grs model 16 will fit.

It is the one with the side bolt release , however i want to keep the current stock even though it will end up costing more $$$. The other issue is that the rifle came in the choate stock so i have no bottom metal as the choate has a blind box magazine. I have seen several image from the states but finding information on who and where make the parts is proving difficult.

Thats a shame about the bottom metal. Kinda limits you a bit. I guess this is the kit you mean ...
not sure about fitting it to your stock though...

I spoke with keith Hills about doing this exact job om my 10pf a few months ago. He thinks that he should be able to do it the only issue is chasing down the parts. I have ordered a kit from CDI in the states but are still waiting on it showing up.
