G Day Wayne

I am using the 6.5x47 at present. I don't have all my load details with me at present but I can tell you what load I currently use.

6.5x47L with 30" barrel, 1 in 8" twist. Tuner fitted.
38.5g 2208
120g Sierra MK
CCI BR4 primer

This load works for me but I have heard someone had pressure problems with 2208. Not sure on the full details.

I have tried 123g Lapua projectiles with the same load with good results too.
Waiting for 123g MK's to arrive, also going to try 130g Norma projectiles if I can get them.

Hope this helps
Cameron

I am using a similar case and get 3017 fps with 38g of 2208 behind both the 120 sierra and 123 lap.
2810 fps with 40g of 2209 behind the 142 sierra.
Both loads are max in my set up without case and primer pocket damage.
Used the 123g Laps and load out to 900m. yesty with very great effect in strong cross wind at the C.Q.D.R.A. championships. I think I will give up on the 142"s. They excell with 38g of 2208 for 2884 fps but stretch the primer pockets. I use large primers , a sharper shoulder angle and longer neck. Body length is the same.
F TROOP, SHOOTING F CLASS.
