Bought two at the same time. First one did exactly as OP described. Returned immediately for a refund. Wish I done the same with the second - aside from their usual zero drifting it occasionally decides, with nothing on it, to ramp up and up and up. Bought from Amazon and the second when, when I realised they were junk, was outside Amazon's return for refund time.
Wept and bought an AnD Fx300i. If I had known what was ahead I should have gone staight into the AnD instead of wasting money.
Return for a refund as per advise already posted.

One thing - are you running it on batteries or mains? I made a battery pack out of D Cells to run mine to avoid any AC power disturbances. Running them with internal batteries fitted is hopeless - they eat small batteries. Fluor lights close by supposedly give them grief as well.

I had the same issue , until I lifted it on its side and gave it a slight tap on the bench . Been wonderful ever since ! I always pour my powder into the supplied scale scoop. That is , it's always on zero before putting powder in . Otherwise it losses it way .run mine of power and let warm up for at least an hour beforehand .

But very happy with mine , but lots have had the same issue , including me in the beginning.

Mine sits lonely on my bench awaiting to be returned.
Worked fine for a while, but then started to wander badly like you described. Tried all fixes but it made no difference. My ultra cheapie backup scales are working fine so hesitant to repalce them

I got a set that were doing this wotking by running the scale calibration rather than line.
Its worth taking them apart to chec theres no powder indide though.
The power adaptor that comes with them needs to go straight in the bin.
