West OZ Queen’s

#1 Postby Tim N » Fri Sep 27, 2019 4:24 pm

Looks like conditions are reasonable judging by the early scores.
I did notice something rather disturbing to those of us in open who don’t like being beaten by a girl, Jascinta has entered the open comp.
Any luck Darren will convince her that F standard is way more fun [-o<
I’m guessing most from the eastern states flew there??
Hope you all enjoy the comp.
Looking forward to a good report of all the goings on!

The conditions usually look reasonable when you aren't here shooting. #newhouseofpain

Heading up in the morning, shooting the queens only. If the weather forecast for today and through til Monday is accurate, it’s going to be a real headache just like Monday and Tuesday were.

I wasn’t happy with the way my ftr gun performed by the end of the teams so I’m going to use the queens (my first in 5 years) to fine tune it up and enjoy some social time on the range.

Can someone explain the different groups shooting the Queen’s?

Yes mate its pretty simple. You have the F-STD shooters who are mostly normal in most ways (good people), the F-Open shooters who are a can short of a six pack and the FTR shooters who.... well.... probably not politically correct to comment in a public domain.

Ohh, you mean on the NRAA site. Yes I'm interested too.

Hey Dennis
I thought the F standard crew were a group that no one in the world wants to play with, F open are the elite formula one crowd and FTR are the poor country cousins who are most comfortable picking banjos and making pig squeals.
I’m sure someone will inform me if that’s not correct 8)

Tough day ! Albert won the lead up , pretty sure .
First day of the Queens Stuart B won it going clean through, it is an amazing effort. Our Dave B took out second and just edge out Albert ! Another tough day will be on for tomorrow!

I'll think you'll find some FTR rifles are holding better waterline than the formula one guys here at the moment . . . . .

We tune guns between banjo picking and making pigs squeal.

F standard open is anyone from any class of fstd-a or b or div 1 or 2. Allows division b fstd shooters to win the overall fstd agg. Then they do division 1 and 2 aggregates as well.

Easier to just shoot off a bipod and make pigs squeal

I believe the NRAA database has finally ground to a halt, so results may be delayed.

I’m pretty sure Albert has it only dropping 2 points which is super human !! Congratulations to all winners !
