Gloves

#1 Postby Rich4 » Sun May 31, 2020 11:40 am

Soooo I’ve just tried out a coat and sling together for the first time (only used slings before) awesome stuff, unbelievably stable :D , however my fingers said many bad words to me  , completely numb after 12 rounds, I was using a thick welding glove as I don’t have a real one, so my question is what to look for in a glove? I’m using a GI cotton sling, but may change to leather, I wasn’t using a hand stop, merely letting the sling trap my hand, possible cause?

Hi Lewis.....yep been there ....get a kurt-thune sling nd a kt glove or similar ...makes it alot better .......nd a hand stop......but no matter what ya use if u have`nt got everything adjusted properly it still gunna b bad....so try moving your hand further down fore end only a bit at a time nd see how that goes..nd let ya sling out a bit at th same time ....nd if your stock fore end is to squarish it will cut into your hand as well...rounded is better...try these ..only my 2 bobs worth...(been doing it for 50 years)regards Doug.
