Re: Moly - who still uses it??

G'day all, I do believe that it helps with consistent neck tension which I feel is a big part of the accuracy issue. I also trim all cases to the same length and do not clean the interior of the case as clean cases are believed to have more grip and I neck turn all cases to be the same thickness to ...

Re: Moly - who still uses it??

G'day All, I still use moly, its about how long you can go before cleaning. I'll keep using it. Barrels are consumables and nothing will stop the blow torch effect on the barrel steel with every shot......hotter loads will accelerate the erosion. I was once told that eroded barrels should never be t...

Re: Is a T3x a T3x?

G'day ReneZ, as a lefty, I would strongly recommend looking at buying a rifle with a RH action. Your left hand never leaves the grip and your right hand operates the bolt and loads, plus you can see the load port so no fumbled ammo while loading. Very fast when you need it to be. Been doing this for...

Re: Berger bullets optimal speed

G'day All, As I recall Gene Beggs did a lot of short range BR that meant using Vit133 which had to be kept in tune due to its temperature sensitivity. There were two ways to keep it in tune, 1. Adjust powder weight as necessary during a competition based on previous group - if it really tightened up...

Re: Primer tool

G'day All, I use the Sinclair one and single load each primer. I do use a RCBS Primer Tray-2 to flip them the right way up and it spreads them out to make it easier to pick up. The ram is adjustable for length and uses Lee Autoprime shellholders to hold your case. You can also get extra heads for di...

Re: 6.5-284 lapua brass

G'day All, have a look at the sinclair international priming tool, uses Lee auto prime shell holders and you can buy separate head for say .223, 6br, magnum cases to make swapping super easy. You can also adjust the length of the ram for correct seating depth. Mine has loaded thousands of primers si...
