G' Day Chaps.
I am new to the reloading game and acquired 1000 of the above mentioned projectiles.
Although I have a great mentor he shoots a 308 using Berger projectiles.
Has/does anyone have experience reloading 6.5 LAPUA 136gr OTM Scenar - L
I am after information on weather JUMP or JAM is the most accurate
My rifle is a premier series Bergara HMR BPR Pro.
The Bergara stainless steel barrel is 24" in length with 1 in 8 twist.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I ran them some years ago in a 6.5x47 - good bullet, super consistent. Mine worked well jumped about 20 thou. I'd try both jamming and jumping - I know of people shooting Lapua who have had good results with both methods.

In my 260AI they worked great jumping anywhere from 10-20 thou
See if you can find a consistent powder charge with good ES and SD with the bullet 10thou jam and then play with seating depth tests seating the bullet in the case 3thou more increments
Good bullet for sure

G,Day Mark,
Jamming is not a good idea. It can become embarrassing if you have to unload a live round. It is also likely to be illegal soon, as it is under ICFRA rules. I would suggest you have a look at the NSW "F" class website where you will find information on rifle tuning.

Jamming the bullet does not guarantee better accuracy.
Also GregW brings up a good point as well if you have to extract a live round. Too many times in high power rifle shooting I've seen where the line judge/referee etc..calls to make the line safe and a guy opens the bolt on his rifle and the bullet stays jammed in the rifling. Then powder dumps all over the place etc...and now the line is down for a longer period of time for the shooter to get his rifle back in order and for the line to be safe and ready for shooting again.
I've seen plenty of bullets both VLD's and standard match type bullets where up to .060" off the lands can shoot better than jamming.
Not a 6.5 but a good example when I was testing 338 Lapua stuff for a manufacturer....they're box ammo with 300gr bullets in my reworked/shorter throat chamber vs. the standard Lapua chamber still jumped a .100". That box ammo shot sub .7moa out of my rifle.
