Gunsmiths near Campbelltown, NSW

#1 Postby bshrestha01 » Sat May 24, 2014 6:23 pm

I need to get my factory Savage bedded properly (it has no bedding). I have some idea of how to do it myself but I am not going to experiment at this time.

I live in the Campbelltown are and was thinking of asking a "local" gunsmith to help me out. I have dropped an email to Matt Paroz as well and am waiting for his reply.

I am more interested in how long it will take than how much it will cost.

Matt will definitely be the one to ask. He will be getting ready for a shoot tomorrow, but should get back to you after that. He is usually has a quick turn around, unlike some I have experienced.

I got an email back from him. He did mention that he is now in full time gun smithing so he has a faster turnaround.

I have had great results with my omark with him and he is a very friendly and honest bloke so I think I will go with him.

Oh and did I mention the price he gave me is absolutely reasonable, specially for the quality of work he does.

Friendly??? Not if he has just had a bad range.
Honest??? Not if you ask him which flags to watch or how much wind he had on.

I am not sure about your experience with him on the range, but I am talking about gunsmithing here. And my experience with him has been pretty good.

This was all said tongue in cheek. He is a good bloke and does all of my gun smithing now. Good prices, good quality and as a current competitive shooter, knows what is needed.

ROTFLMAO. :D
Extreme accuracy and precision shooting at long range can be a very addictive pastime.

If you know he is going to lie to you, why ask?

If somebody had asked me what wind I had on during the Cessnock OPM, I would have said 5 minutes to right.
