Rod Davies has hit the ground running in the Canadian Championships. At the end of the first day he's 2 points clear in the lead! Steve Lazarus is 3 points back in 3rd! In F/TR Nikki Slee is the leading Australian in 11th!

Great to see a few of the boys and girls near the pointy end!

bloody good work Rod and Laz!

I'm taking my time with accurate plots to evaluate loads etc but it does hurt the wind reading. I think a fair few other Aus shooters are doing the same so we are probably shooting better than our positions would indicate in most cases. For the Aus shooters at the pointy end to manage their plots and the tricky winds as well as adapt to bisley style is a great achievement already!

For those folks that might like a slightly more mungable version of the list, I've added a page that can be found on our club website.

It's just manually pulling the data from the Canadian Results page and putting it in an Excel spreadsheet. I've then added a few filters that can be changed so folks can do a little more sorting and seeing how well the team is going.

Site can be found at https://www.northsydneyrifleclub.com.au/canada-scores.

Well done to the guys on the great start to the event.

Cheers,

Phil

Not all scores in yet, but in F-Open, I'm fairly sure that Rod Davies has finished 2nd and Steve Lazarus either 4th or 5th depending on how they count back. The winner and other top 5 are all Canadians.

Great effort Rod and Steve. =D> =D>

And Tim Nugent, winning the last range (from Rod) with the only possible! =D>

At time of posting, no F/TR scores available for the 900m final range.

More to come.

To be precise they're shooting F-F.

All scores in now I believe.

Great going by Julian Daley and Mike Samuels finishing 6th and 7th respectively in F-F (Canadian version?) =D> =D> .

Major difference is pedestal rests are allowed. Essentially it's FO with calibre restrictions and 8.25kg weight limit.

Frustrating range results with all competitors lumped together alphabetically!
I can't bring up the aggregates!?

Today's results updated in a slightly more manipulative fashion on the North Sydney Rifle Club website.

https://www.northsydneyrifleclub.com.au/canada-scores

Doesn't look like they post a daily Agg.

Well Done again to all.

Cheers,

Phil

Hi Shane,

Seems like you're looking at "Ranges shot today". If you look at "Matches and aggregates completed today" they're in score order. I can't find the Day 2 agg or 2Day agg either.

Some great results! Reports from shooters say that conditions are difficult so the great range scmores some are having are even better. Great to see Tim get the lot at the last 900m and Rod finish well. Top shoot by Steve Lazarus as well.
Plenty of other great range results as well and now that the cobwebs have been blown out and the nerves settled I'm really looking forward to seeing how they go in the World Championships!
Alan, Julian is in F Open (and shot well!) making my Clubmate Mike Samuels from Beaudesert Rifle Club was the top scoring Aussie FTR shooter.

Thanks. They have him listed as F-F for the first range and that is what I based the entries on. I'll get it fixed on my list.
