Autotrickler V4 issues

#1 Postby mitchellchandler_au » Fri Feb 02, 2024 5:19 pm

Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has had this issue with their auto trickler. The machine showes lb and stops trickling. If it is run in manual no worries just wont dump a set weight.
Firepower usally means an increased number of misses per minute. 50 misses are not firepower. One hit is firepower

It's not an autotrickler issue, it's a power issue.
lb is a low battery error, so it's either the power supply playing up or not plugged into the scale properly.
Turn it off pull connector out and replace a few times.

Also check the power supply itself is sufficient amperage and correct polarity, mine has already failed and I replaced it with one from Jaycar and had to wire in the original plug.

If replacing the power supply - the AnD connector is wired the reverse of everything else on the planet - beware.

Mine did the same a couple months ago and as everyone has said it was the power supply. Put it down to being plugged in constantly.
Bought a new one direct from Canada and no problems since.

Very true, I bought a universal thinking I could use it either way but had to cut and shut to use the original plug as there is no room for a bent one, I must have checked the polarity 3-4 times before I plugged it in 8)

I spoke to mark lacy, he was telling me that the issue is most likely the adaptor or power unit. I tried a different adapter and it continued so I am getting a new power unit sent out.

I watched a utube video Mark put up a little while ago and he mentions that you have to change out your power cable to the new one that comes with V4. You can't use the V3 power cable that you used on your old set-up. Not sure if this is what is happening, but it may help.
Scott.
