7mm saum reamer
Hi Guys,
Can someone please guide me on this one.
I am after a 7 mm saum reamer, .210-.220 fb and .317-.318 neck
Any idea where to find one?
Thanks in advance, Pablo

Are you looking to buy one or find a gunsmith who has one?

PTG or JGS in the states would be the most common suppliers. Wait time is usually 12 weeks plus.

I have had excellent experiences with Manson.
Worth looking at them for reamers

Long bullet that one, probably somewhere around .250 freebore might be a starting point.

Because of the design it doesn't need as long as the Berger 180 style bullet, anything from 0.170-0.200 will work with the 183, but will be a little short for the Berger offerings. Also you'll probably need at least a 8.5 twist or preferably faster, 8 twist certainly has been the most consistent with my customers.

Re: 7mm saum reamer
The 183 SMK bullet works well in a throat suited to 180 Berger VLD. The bearing surface of both bullets is very close to being the same. Of course that is with my 280HI which has a longer neck than a SAUM which makes it a bit more flexible re throat lengths than shorter neck chambers.

Try Dave Manson precision reamers in the US . 10 Weeks .
PTG are hopeless .
Tip - pay for fedex or like as USPS Express took 10 weeks

JGS also has excellent turn around times as well . Think they are quoting 12-16 weeks . Manson is about the same quality, and turn around . Both excellent US companies to deal with .

Ditto for both JGS and Manson.
