Could the open shooters place the list of equiptment they use and include if you use a rest or bipod aswell especialy Bill And Mat after the national Queens and if you have a short range rifle and long range rifle include it with any information that will help a new shooter please dont put the load charge in just the brand of components to stop any mishaps with inexperienced reloaders.

At present I have :
6mmBR. Maddco action and trigger, 1-8" Maddco 26" barrel, no. 7 weight. I have bonded the action to a McMillan Prone stock with a 3" alloy flat attached to the fore end accessory rail. I use a Nightforce BR 8-32 scope with the DD reticle. I use Lapua cases, 105g Lapua projectiles and 2208 powder. I have used this rifle back to 900yds with success.
See link for pics: http://www.6mmbr.com/gunweek004.html
6.5-284. RPA Quadlite action and Jewel trigger. 28" Maddco barrel, no. 7 profile, 1-8" twist. I have pillar bedded the action to a McMillan Baker Special stock. The flat alloy plate also attaches the fore end of this rifle.
At pesent I use a Weaver 24x scope with fine crosshair and dot. Scope base is 30moa taper. I use Lapua cases, 139g Lapua projectiles and 2209 powder. This rifle is only 200 rounds old and is intended for the longer ranges. It shoots REALLY well.
At present I am building another 6mm BR for my good wife. It is based on a Bench Rest rifle. Remington 700 action glued to a McMillan BR stock.
I do all my shooting off a front bench rest and rear bag. I do intend to give a bipod a try.
I have found over the years, it is not the shooter with the most expensive gear who wins a shoot. It is nearly always the one who reads the conditions the best.

Hi all
I'm using an Omark action & trigger (set at 1lb), 6.5x55AI, 30" Maddco 1:8 .290 neck, Weaver T-36, old fullbore stock with 3" steel plate at fore-end, Lapua cases, 139gn Lapua Scenars, AR2213SC, Federal primers, shot off a rest & rear bag.
I also use another Omark in .223, I shoot it as F-open as I use a 1lb trigger, 26" MAB 1:8 CM barrel, Hakko 8-32x50, old fullbore stock with 3" steel plate at fore-end, Remington cases (not enough case capacity in the Lapuas I tried), 80gn Sierra, AR2208, Federal primers, shot off a rest and rear bag. I shot this off a Harris bipod for a while but found it fiddly with the legs settling into soft mounds. Results were OK though.

Open F Class Equiptment
6.5 Rogue which is just an Ackleyed 6.5 for better case life. 2209 powder but the case is part empty and there is probably a better combination. 139 Lapuas and Lapua cases. There are a lot of these in this area because of the presence of a reamer close by. They do perform well but are probably no better than other similar 6.5's. Only using 43 grain powder - mentioned to show that this is not a huge case - thus barrel life is better than some other 6.5's You can run up to about 45 grain and get 3000 ft/s but cases suffer. I am only running in the low 2800's at the moment and its a very competitive setup.
6BR (standard) for shorter ranges and practice. Its a delightful cartridge but the 6.5 is definitely better. Usually use the 6 up to and including 600m but this usually throws away some points. All Lapua components and 2208 powder but again feel there is a better combo.
22 PPC as a play toy. But not as much a toy as a normal 22 PPC because it runs a 1:8 inch twist barrel and 80 grain sierras. Built up from a barrel I had in the cupboard and some cases which were neck turned from 22 Russian. Great for learning to read wind but a 223 is just as good for F class and more sensible. Next time it will be a 223 like my fullbore rifle which actually reaches higher velocity.
None are pushing high velocities
All are on Omarks but thats largely irrelevant because its the accurizing of them that makes them competitive with anything bar none. An unmodified Omark is also quite competitive but it may sometimes be improved by squaring up. Both stainless sleeved but thats only to give better bedding and better scope attachment and no possibility of rusting on the bedding.
Both with very light Jewel triggers.
All barrels by Tobler - all 1:8 inch. All 30 inch except the 22PPC which is 28. There is little point in the 30 inch on the 6BR but it will eventually allow rechambering more easily.
All scopes are my own creation or highly modified cheap junk scopes. I am waiting for someone to donate a Nightforce for 'testing'. Hint Hint.....
Stocks are horrible light ply but because the rifles are being shot with free recoil the stocks dont do anything really.
All shot from front rest and real bag. Sometime I would like to try a really good bipod.

6.5x284 .291 neck, Barnard Model P, Mastin F-Class stock, V-Block bedded, 30" Kreiger 1 in 8.5T, Leupold 6.5-20x50 Fine Duplex, Lapua cases, AR2213SC, 142grSMK or 139grScenar (moly), modifed Winchester deluxe Rest, Protector rear bag, shooting free recoil. Have 2 identical barrels, and run one with SMK and the other with moly scenars, both about 2950 mv.
Am keen to try some other calibres later, perhaps 6mm and 7mm, but think that 6.5 is a good all-round performer when you have just the one.
