So I bought a 6ppc varmint gun and im just wondering if anyone with some experience loading for the ppc can get me off to a good start.
Id prefer to stick with ADI powder and already keep 2207 and 2208 on the shelf but would add another if needed. Ill be running 55-65gr varmint bullets. Currently like the 65gr v max but open to suggestions on powder, projectile and primer combination.
Thanks all!!

Re: 6ppc loads
If it was the Sako from UG - Andrew would be able to point you in the right direction.
If not - I can ask Andrew for you ?

Re: 6ppc loads
6PPC very easy to load for, I’ve used Benchmark 1, Benchmark 2, AR 2219,
VIht. 133. If I could add only one powder it would be BM2. Federal primers work
great and any of the Berger Bullets 62 to 68 grain will make you happy.
cheers,
Chris

Re: 6ppc loads
I found 2219 a good all rounder in the PPC. 65 Vmax with federal 205 primers and start at 27gn would be my pick for varmint load.

How juicy is 27gr? This is in a varmint rifle so it probably wont handle what a good BR action would

Re: 6ppc loads
Load Berger 64 Grain Columns or 65 grain Berger BT's, ADI BM2 powder with 29.5grs (mid load) or high load of 30.4grs but you will need a drop tube. For Sporter Class 6PPC use 28.5 BM2 as the rifle only weighs 9lbs. Use Fed Match grade primers, your load node will be within .1 of a grain.

Re: 6ppc loads
BATattack,
If im right you have a 6PPC USA hunting rifle. The best bet for you is check the ADI powder site for what they recommend regarding projectile and starting powder weights and work up a load from there. If you need a FL die make sure you get a PPC USA die. I ordered a PPC die once and they sent me a PPC USA die by mistake, my PPC case just dropped straight into the USA die without touching the sides.

My guess is not that juicy!! I run 28.6 in my PPC with Berger 65BT which is on a sleeved REM600..
