Hi Piers,
I have had great success with the 6BR using the following,
8 twist 4 groove Shilen barrel .266 neck No#7 HV profile 29" long.
Lapua brass cut to suit.
Either Remington 7 1/2 benchrest or Fed 210 GMM primers.
29.5 to 31.5 gns of Reloder 15 (29.5 being the best giving approx 2830 ish fps). I have tried 2208, for what ever reason i have always had lower ES with RL15 and slightly better groups.
Ken Melgards 103 Copperheads have been outstanding and insanely accurate to say the least (these would be my first pick). Nothing else has come close to these in this barrel. The 105 Scenar L's have been good as well, just not like the KM 103's.
The 6BR is by far the easiest cartridge i have ever had to tune and the most accurate!
Hope this helps,
John.
