Vic Queen’s 2020
Hi All,
Only 9 weeks to go till the Vic Queen’s...
Might be a bit early to start this but I’m keen for this one as I haven’t shot on a range yet in Victoria.
Plus they use MANUAL targets!
Rod won last year so I’m guessing it can’t be too difficult
As there’s a team practice afterwards there should be a good roll up.
What are you planning to shoot there?
What conditions can be expected?

We don't rise to the level of our expectations, we fall to the level of our training. Archilochos 680-645 BC

Hi Tim.
I went last year and had a very enjoyable time.
A 6mm BR should suffice for you!!

Whenever I shoot there, apparently I get the easy conditions.
I reckon you should definitely use your 6BR or even your 250 Savage hunting rifle, save your SAUM for the teams.
I will stick with my 6.5x47 and 7 SAUM, but might even run a 284 for lead up if I get the new gun up and running.
It is one of my favourite Queens, a good atmosphere, good program, usually fun conditions, good prizes and usually good weather.
No pissing around at 300, there are plenty of flags at suitable heights. The range is nice and flat with no weird vertical issues.
The target pullers have always been great, whats not to like about this Queens.

The range will have all the works completed by then to provide a fantastic shoot. If camping book now to get on the range. We are measuring up around the camping area to try to slip in another dozen or so sites for vans. If you don't mind the bush there is plenty of camping in there. The sit down spit roast is on Saturday night if interested book early also. Come and enjoy the social friendship with fellow shooters and the wifes are only a stone throw from the city centre, remember Bendigo is the biggest inland city in Victoria, where shopping is endless. Not to mention that it is a great range with true wind conditions and weather.

Good to see your back shooting Alan, what about young Cowen? He has the makings of a champion.Wal86 wrote:Trevor Rhodes wrote:Wal86 wrote:Vic Queens coming up, will there be squading in 2020?
