Tip #2 - how to use your scale properly

Post by PeteFox »

If you are into weighing components other than powder, then the process is entirely manual and the way I've seen people do it; very tedious.

I don't weigh primers or bullets but I've seen people do it and it's a PITA. Putting a primer or bullet onto a scale, waiting for it to settle and then taking them off one by one is slow and it can be speeded up by about 3x. This only works with electronic scales.

Simple, put however many primers you like onto the scale tray and zero the scale.

Take one primer off and the scale will register a negative value - forget the negative part and that's your weight.

Zero the scale again and repeat the process. You can get quite fast doing it this way.

I'd be shocked to see it quicker as it's only substitution of picking up a primer with pushing the zero button, but I'll give it a try
