G'day stu,
go find a sandblaster and get a large coffee tin full of garnet blasting sand. Heavy as stink and packs beautifully.
Do not get used stuff as it will be broken smaller sized granules and will ooze out of the stitching,
Keep packing it in till you cant get anymore in then add some more!
Doe the ears first and a 338WM case with the head sawn off at a 45 degree angle and a tea spoon works well to fill. Also use a piece of 5/16" dowel around 8-10" long to ram it in and help pack it in.
A good job to do in front of the telly one night.
