28.12.1917 – 12.7. 2012
Bill’s first use of a rifle was at age 16 when he purchased a Bayard 22 calibre rifle. This remained a hobby for the next 75 years with 303 range shooting and small bore competition.
In 1947 after WW11 the Victoria Police resumed the Victoria Police Rifle Club. Being stationed at Emerald at that stage Bill drove down to Williamstown to shoots held every Wednesday. He purchased a 303 army rifle for 5 pounds and averaged a 47 over the first 5 weeks. He was selected in the Victoria Team to travel to Brisbane and compete in the Dunlop Shield. He was a regular participant in the Victoria Police games till the mid 2000's.
A service to farewell and celebrate the life of Bill Hall will be held
On July 20th at 2.30pm. LePine Chapel 132 Mt. Dandenong Road Croydon
We wish his family the best for this time. He will be well remembered.
