Hello All
Long shot, but just wanted to check to see if anyone had a Action sleeve for a Rem 600/Model 7
The type i'm after is patterned like a Panda, I think Pseco used to made them.
I know not likely to be sitting around - but happy to be surprised !!
Regards

Re: Remington Action Sleeve
My current REM 700 has the sleeve with the Panda footprint !!! Sadly the man in the U.S. who used to make them has passed on i was told. John Giles does a similar sleeve and so does Phil Jones . They are similar to the Panda ones but have a different footprint but are very good!!

Re: Remington Action Sleeve
G'day all,
Um why do you need one? If the barrel is of a reasonable length & weight I don't believe you need one.
This is based on the Rem600 I had as a 6ppc with a 24" No6 fluted Maddco and a Rem700 repeater action that had a 26" No7 Truflight truck axle hanging off it that I thought was excessive for that action but it still shot brilliantly.
The only reason I could accept is an increased bedding area but based on the above it's not conclusive.
Food for thought

Re: Remington Action Sleeve
Id like a sleeve aswell but haven't had any luck trying to get one. I don't run any heavier then HV profile of my R700 actions and don't think you need a sleeve for that weight but it would be nice for a lil added peace of mind.

Re: Remington Action Sleeve
Would it be possible to build a sleeve set-up like a tube-stock with the fore end as a single piece or even go all way and do the full stock?

Yes I suppose it would be but you gotta make sure you can still change barrels. But sure. Why not.
