There is one thing that ppl don't see is all the work Dave and ppl like him put in to achieve the results they do as dave did on that occasion.
An awesome display for sure.
Also other ppl like Alan Fraser, Marty El Lobert and Rocket Rod Davies that’s why these ppl are at the top of their game.
Denis I was there and I didn’t find the conditions to bad other than trying to keep moister out of my chamber and having to deal with the bouncy grass.
Now as far as seeing every condition well come to lower light and you will have a whole new learning curve: P
on the other hand, one could be forgiven for having the impression that there is a money based arms race after seeing alan frazers rifle.

I can't fool you Bruce. Most people think that the likes of March, BAT, Farley and Robertson are classiest brands. The real Rolls Royces are the Sightrons, Barnards, Caldwells and local steel merchant.

Thanks for the compliments Denis but I think I have to agree with Richard in every way here. That shoot was reasonably mild and as Marty kept telling me "The skies opened up and flags dropped every time I lay down". I just got lucky. Of course you can't get perfect conditions on all ranges but I didn't cop anything severe.
One of the things I would dearly love to do would be to get to lower light and get initiated (maybe punished might be a better word) in the house of pain! I nearly went there in 2010 but for cheap tickets to WA and just haven't been able to tee it up since. I am sure it will be a humbling experience but one that I would enjoy immensely either way.

It sods me off when that's said by another shooter of the winner, so I can't accept it from you, Dave.
There's more than one shooter who gets the occasional window of opportunity. The pros are the ones who recognize wheat's happening & extract full benefit.

Alan the reason believe it or not is the interstate A grades say that they won’t attend if we include 900m or so we have been told by the TR fraternity.
All the F-Class ppl want it included. I loved Raton my only lament was I didn’t shoot more of the USA Nats

Alan I was at the council meeting when this came up and the argument against was to protect ppl from getting a hammering well bugger me let’s just shoot 700m not too far and the targets a biggie
One of the attractions of Lower Light for interstate shooters is that its challenging. If the Council recognises that, they will include the 900. Anyway, I hope to get there this year regardless.
