Kapooka march out Nov 16

Post by Tim L »

My son has his march out on Nov 16th. Yes, it clashes with the ACT Queens, which is bad planning.
Just wondering if anyone from Wagga could recommend accommodation.

Thanks Mike, it would have been good to catch up.
I think ACT Queens will mean anyone I'm likely to know will be away from home.
All good, the Golf View looks convenient.

Convenient yes, nice, no.
It’s a rough end of town out there.

Stay in town like at the Mercure or the Townhouse.

The Burring Motel at Lake Albert is good. My in-laws used to stay there regularly when visiting Wagga. They do not have a restaurant and it is not close to any restaurants, but both the Kooringal Hotel and the Thomas Blamey Tavern are just a short drive. The Burringa Motel is just off Red Hill Road which takes you almost to Kapooka.
The second Motel I could recommend is a Quality Inn, the Carriage House Motel. I attended quiet a number of conferences for my work there, and when staff from other centres visited Wagga, some would stay there. It is on the opposite side of town from Kapooka is the only drawback, but you can pick up good rooms at quite inexpensive rates from some of the motel booking websites like Wotif etc. The motels that ben g recommended are excellent but may be more expensive.
Regards - Philip (a Lake Albert resident).
