Haven't got the specifics, but suffice it to say in F Open, David Mc. has handed us our asses on a plate in the lead up (well, by two points over Mark H.). The conditions have been very difficult, with a couple of ranges catching out even the most experienced guys - I won't name them, but two of the best F standard regulars scored 48 and 49 at 700 yards in the second range at the Queens.
We're only two ranges into the Queens, but already David and Mark are the guys to beat, with me throwing away my promising start at 400 yards with a 50 at 700.
regards,
Andrew.

6 in all - calibers are .284 shehane, 6.5x55AI, 6.5-284, 2x 6mmBR, and one unknown.
At the end of today, David leads the way again with myself getting lucky in 2nd and Mark in 3rd (I think).
regards,
Andrew.

I think WARA does it very well actually. WA has the highest participation rate of any State in full-bore shooting, and I'd like to know what other State gets both the Governor and the Premier at the Queens presentation ceremony. And absolutely no discrimination against F-Class when I was there.

There's no obligation on them to get results out to the eastern states immediately. After all only a handful of eastern shooters go across to participate. I'm looking forward to seeing the results too, but am not going to get all upset if they take a few days to appear on the website.   .

Sounds like a few Collingwood supporters looking to take their frustrations out :D :D :D .

I have spoken to the webmaster, and he informs me that the problem lays with the office, as the results for F Class are not coming through to him.

I did get told this will be corrected last night, but I still cannot find them. :?

Spoke to Graham Oates this arvo when I dropped in. He was 4 points down. Rod Rees and Mal Hambleton were the two in front of him I think he said. They had the 1000yd range to shoot.

Wind was definitely doing its thing.

Havent heard anything after that.

Contrats to Dave and Rod for their wins, likely to be more to come I would say. =D>
Cant blame Daves win on home advantage, did he also win longest distance traveled.
Where are the results and who won Target Rifle?

Thanks Rod,
Just got home and only have one photo of results (Duke). Sorry but always forgot the phone (at least it wasn't the bolt :D ) Oatesy shot unbelievably well for Duke, Rod in the Queens. No doubt those boys can get their '08's humming over there. WA tossed up all directions and strengths - felt just like Belmont Rod!!

A big thanks to everyone in the west. Linda and Rod Shehan for loan of the gear to make it possible and the unbelievable hospitality of everyone over there, especially Subiaco Rifle Club.

To all those thinking of going next year. It was easy to do, very friendly, very well organised and just all round fantastic. Next year will be the last at Swanbourne, so if you want a slice of history and last chance to shoot on a magnificent range I would highly recommend it.

Image (geez that photo looks a whole lot better on high res - anyone wanting a copy pm me with email address and I will forward through.)

Dave scored a 60.4 at 1,000 yards, a good few points more than all us local f-open shooters could manage! It was a real pleasure having Dave and Denis shoot with us and we are so grateful their visit made it possible for an f-open comp to run (thanks also to Linda for helping them with gear).

It was a great event, well run, the rain stayed away, and despite some very tricky winds at times some very good shooting - hearty congrats to all the winners, well deserved. Hopefully the results will make it to the website soon.

best regards

Mark
