Found this simple Recoil Calculator on an obscure site that I thought some of you might enjoy punching your own number into. It's fast and simple to use.

Cheers Cam
Get back on your lawnmower, ol' fella.

For those readers not FB friends with Julie McE (Cameron can't turn the 'puter on yet

We are thinking that now he's getting on in years a bit, Julie wasn't game to let him use something with sharp blades.

Re: Recoil Calculator
Tony,
I wish they would come up with a recoil calculator that includes the effect of a muzzle brake on recoil.
That would help with the field rigs.
The mirage shield will be handy. Thought I would do my own order rather than having to create extra work for you and have to double up on postage etc. Just easier.
When our club members see it they may want to get one too. That would add a bit of class to our pennant team.

Josh,
Lots of those poor Southern living Australians don't have the natural high from the tropical air that you North Queenslanders live on, fulltime and on a daily basis.
Other things are need to keep the mind functioning

Yes, Norm, by far the easiest way would be for 2 or more Club members to share an order because the postage here with APost will be pretty ugly. It about US$20 from the States, regardless of how many are in an order, so if 4 or 5 shared it, it's pretty reasonable.
I wonder if the Braund boys could be interested in doing something locally ? The photo that Cam posted of the "one off" FCWC shields that they did was pretty cool.
I have never used one , but just think they make a lot of sense. Since I started 1000 yd BR, I have seen it numerous times, where halfway through my second string I can clearly see my image distorting,reshaping,distorting......and when fellow shooters with good scopes are reporting zero mirage on the range it can only be heat from my barrel.
I can't say it's worried me at all, shooting F Open from the prone position, but sitting on my bum at a concrete undercover bench it is very apparent.
