Servicing a SEB Rest - TODAY Thursday 14th August

Post by ecomeat »

This is the final reminder for interested parties to meet Sebastian Lambang, the maker of the famous SEB Rests, and watch him demonstrate the correct manner to service and maintain your SEB.
As we all know, a good rest is a "not insignificant" investment, so this is a rare opportunity to learn the correct way to look after that investment.\
The "clinic" will be held at the Bullzeye Bar and Café straight after the conclusion of the last range today. Realistically that will be 20 mins or so after the range closes, to give people time to pack up.
Hopefully Craig McGowan will have settled down from yesterdays high where he placed a fabulous Second Place to his Brisbane Rifle Club clubmate Lindsay Crombie in the Duncan Lead Up event Aggregate, and will remember to bring his video camera !!

I'll be very interested to see a video if someone's able.

I think a video would be a great asset to the rest of Australian shoots that are not able to make to this club.
I have a new SEB and keen to keep in tip top condition.

Well the good news is that I have a very clean, fully serviced SEB Neo that is just like a brand new one!!
Sebastian did a very through job of walking us through the whole process, stripping all necessary parts, and applying Teflon lube where required, as well as making adjustments where needed.
Both Tim Nugent and Craig McGowan video'd the whole procedure, and Seb was patient and methodical as he walked us through the correct process. I am pretty confident that it should be nicely packaged into the Online training mechanism that we hoped for, within a few weeks.

Danny,
I actually spoke with Craig McGowan about this earlier this week, and he was still waiting on Tim Nugent to get him the footage .
Tim has definitely got it, but it is a massive sized file and can't simply be emailed.
Hopefully he might have burnt a copy onto a disc and already have it posted off to Craig by now !!!
I know that Craig is away for the next week with his family, so realistically it's going to be a week or two more. He is going to have to edit it once he receives a copy, so that it is concise and instructional.

Hi All,
Yes I do have the footage of Seb's service on the rest.
I shot it on a friends camera who is currently moving house and will send an unedited copy to Craig as soon as he can
Patience grasshoppers
I send this at 4.30 am from a London hotel while on holiday, hope I can get with local time soon

Hi All,
I have had some really good correspondence with SEB on some small problems with my SEB rest.
He has been a wealth of information and has asked me to do a similar service to what he has done on this video.
He even mention this visit in his email. I would love to get a copy as mine seems to need a really good service even though it is only 2 month old.
With a copy of this video I am sure it will help me feel confident with my service process that is needed.

Can someone explain why a very expensive rest would need to be serviced @ 2 months old?
