NSWRA Queens 2008

Post by Tom Lowndes »

Recieved a call from NSWRA today to inform me that their FStd Badge List for next year has been increased to eight badges.

That is up from three this year, and has been in response to the increase of FStd numbers.

Well Done NSWRA

Did you ask about the leadup - I understand there were no badges for F-Class this year?

There were no badges for anyone in the McIntosh. Spoons for TR and medals ( the same a for a range) for FS and FO.

I personally would prefer the traditional cloth badge to a spoon or medal, but I guess that's up to the promoting body. What seems inequitable is that the F-Classes don't get the same as TR i.e. a spoon. The entry fees were the same too.

All grades in the NSWRA Lead Up get a spoon.

This goes back a long way, well before FClass was even thought of.

Be careful of trying to change tradition,it can backfire.

Prehaps one would would be better of in some cases trying to foster it.
