The 2007 WA Queens program has been completed with FS being won by Jo Clarke on 530, from Bill Hallam on 529 and Terry Sheedy on 525. There were multiple shootoffs through the program to settle range winners. Jo shot 5 successive 60's along the way as well. Weather was kind - fine with light winds and some cloud.
FO was not shot in the Queens! Only 4 shooters turned up for the leadup event and as this was not much of a competition, FO was shot in the Duke only and abandoned for the Queens - the FO shooters changed barrels or rifles and shot FS. The Duke in FO was won by Bill Hallam on 579 from Graham Oates on 578 and myself on 577 and Warwick Brown (forgot your score, sorry Warwick!). Calibres were 6BR, 6BRX, 6.5x55 Imp. and .243. At this stage there must be a question mark over FO running in the WA Queens program next year.
The FO program (what little there was) was shot on the Kongsberg electronic target (thanks to the Basendean-Bellevue club). This proved very popular with shooters and attracted a lot of interested spectators, some looking at purchasing the same system for their own clubs. We found it fairly easy to adapt to - firing at an FO target but adjusting sights based on the display next to the shooter - and very fast with feedback on shot placement and no marking issues (no dreaded "lost shots"!). It also keeps the group on display, and allows several target magnifications (whole target, 5 ring and in, and 9 & 10 ring only). Unfortunately a cable separated from a connector at the target end on Saturday and we had to resort to manual target marking. All up very promising.

Hi Lynn,
You might be right, there may be a hiccup there somewhere. I hadn't thought of that. I've probably become spoiled by NSWRA and SARA putting the results up so promptly --- I've got to the stage now, that I look forward to seeing who did what at the end of each day. I'll just have to learn to be more patient.
Congratulations to SARA, by the way, on the number of F Class entries they received.
