Seb max with light rifles

Hi Everybody

Thinking of buying a seb max to cater for all my current and future rifles .

The website says from 17lb up

Do these rest not work with lighter rifles ?
Hoping to be able to use the one rest for everything from my 22lr br rifle up to a heavy fly rifle one day .

Hi John , I’ve used a max and they are very well made and are very heavy too! But I cannot see why you couldn’t use a lighter rifle as long as you had a 3” frorend or a 3” anti torque plate to hold the stock in the groove . I own a seb neo and I’ll most likely be buried with it . With my cold dead hands grasping on !!!
