115gr DTAC's?

Post by gk1 »

Hi All,
This is my first post here and I would have ask in the tech forum but it appears locked to me.

I was wondering if there was any local supplier of the 6mm 115gr DTAC's?

Anyone have any experience with these in 6-284 out of a 1:8 barrel?

Regards

George

Welcome George. I tried to get 115 DTACs through Wesfire about 12 months ago, but they said that David Tubb's company was not interested in exporting. However, I have heard of them being used in Australia. Are you aware that there are some newer DTACs e.g. 117gn boron nitride (?) coated.

Hi Alan,
Thanks for your reply.

I had a quick look and there is a better 6mm bullet from Tubb.

see http://www.davidtubb.com/tcom_images/dt ... s_117.html

The problem still remains of how to buy these locally.

Anyone got any of these 111gr mjpt's?

I have seen a box of 500 (115gn DTACs)sitting on the shelf at Thornton Hunting and out doors. They have been there for quite a while. Their number is 02 49661770

111 DTacs no longer available. Not up to scratch by Tubb standards

Yep, they had one box of 500 moly coated ones.

Fingers crossed they will work out for me otherwise they might be going cheap.

Thanks

George
