A book could be written on the many and varied "excuses " that shooters use in an attempt to justify a bad score, from fickle winds to insect bites!!

I think " wrong ammo " is the most popular ( whether it is actually the wrong stuff or not)-- that's the choice of champions.

It's just a shame you cant leave the mound if you have the wrong ammo, I would suspect in that instance another malfunction could be induced and whilst finding a "remedy" another box of bullets falls into your hand!

Hogwash Bob. I never complain about the wind

Just the fact that when my competitors shoot, the wind is nice and easy, but as soon as I get down, it starts doing wierd stuff again, and the stupid flags didnt even show a bloody change. Stupid 200 year old design flags.

Added to that, the latest useless barrel I got always seems to throw fliers in the same bloody direction the stupid flag is pointing.

BTW, I have never got to the mound with the wrong ammo, but few times I have got down with the right ammo, but the wrong caliber barrel screwed in.

Its just not fair.

Why do we always think it is our fault.

After all:
1. We have spent Dollars on that U Beaut new barrel,
2. Got the super dooper high BC projies,
3. Expanded the chamber a bit to get a few more ounces of power in :-)

It's about time the manufacturers of this stuff factored in the human element, and developed:
1. Barrels that counter poor trigger release,
2. Projies that can read the wind for us, and adjust accordingly,
3. Powders that didn't stress our barrels too much, but gave us amazing speed.

Come on guys, is it too much to ask.

There will always be a market for this kind of stuff, you just need a glossy packet to put it in, and price it high enough to make us think it is great.

Well Bob I don't think i have heard any of the excuses listed lately have you hehe. I think some of the "excuse bags" are fuller than others. I might need a few next Sunday at cessnock!
