Thanks guys, yes the leadup was mostly great conditions and 1000 was "interesting" to say the least but it always seems to turn it on for the 1000 at belmont. Day 1 of queens was a bit stiffer and a few more turned up to play. I will try and get some details on rigs tomorrow. Cam and Julie shooting 6*47 Swiss match really well. Cam also had his 284. Jim dunsmore was giving his 6 br a run but could come out with something bigger tomorrow. Good to see rod Davies breaking the slump and shooting well again. Smile is back on his dial and it is certainly "GAME ON!"
Wow - some great scores in both F-Classes. Conditions obviously better again today. So we have Bob and Nick having a very close battle in F-Std, and an even closer one for Dave and Rod in Open. And take a look at the "bunch" vying for 3rd place in Open! The way Dave and Rod are going you'd expect the winner to come from them, BUT - maybe Belmont is saving up its normal wrath (just for selected competitors) tomorrow !
Down to the last day and looks like Belmont is going to turn it on for us like normal. forecast looks a bit nastier. For those interested seabreeze.com.au gives good wind readings. Use the bris airport to give a rough idea. You can get today's and yesterday's wind up on top left column. A few great battles looming I just hope we all get similar conditions and will echo alan's comments- " good luck to all"
Magnificent effort Dave . Just 9 points dropped over 5 days and about 17 ranges. Without taking anything away from your own performance, you must have your 7mm Shehane humming - question : what projectile?
Congrats Dave from all the guys up here in Cairns.
Great shooting and glad it all came togetrher when you needed it!!
Obviously some great wind reading as well as an accurate load and barrel.
Cheers
Shane
