Hey where's all the Kentucky Blue, Revelle, or Tall Fescue! Looks like the team will have to put in a practice mound of 20mm road base when they get back home.

So I assume thats FTR of course, meaning 308, but what do the MA, EX and SS designations represent ? (and UN and MK for that matter) Seems like there are 3 distinct gradings there......

There have been some mix ups with classifications, scores etc and for a while I was listed as a sling shooter. I am in F/Open and am squadded with the F Open shooters.
The team event was yesterday and the F/TR team came 3rd, doing realy realy well. In F/Open, we are using the strategy of not peaking to early.
The individual day 2 (300,500,600,1000yds) was today and a few of the team did well, with Jenni Hausler coming 5th in the daily agg against the big name shooters while some of the Aussies had a few issues with hitting the wrong target (easy to do at 1000yds when the targets are right next to each other) or with so equipment or brain fade issues with the Bisley style shooting. The conditions were not as bad today with a few shooters getting some realy good scores, including daryl Barlow again with a 100.9, to win another range ahead of all the F/Open shooters.
The 2nd team shoot is tomorrow. Our F/TR shooters will be shooting, while the Ozzie F/Open shooters will be skipping the day to get some much needed sleep as well as gun and joystick rest repairs. A few of the F Open shooters have been up till way past midnight each night reloading and testing, trying to get things going with the different powder and projectile lots, so catching up on sleep will be the main priority.
As mentioned previously, the mounds are pretty bad. It is dusty rocky gravel, which needs long rest legs and wide feet on the legs to stop them sinking in. A few of us will be trying to rig up some plates on our rest day tomorrow.

Congratulations to the Australian F/TR team, 3 rd place in Sunday's Cimmeron Match, and 3rd place today in the 4 man Angel Fire Match.

I am so proud of these Guys and Gals. They have worked so well together, and picked themselves up from a miss on the target at 1000 yards to carry on and pull in a 3rd place. ( yardage shot in reverse today due to forecast bad weather)

The Aussies have arrived!

F Open did not compete today.

Rod Shehan coaching, Nikki Slee shooting, Jason Mayers backup coach, and Myself.

Bitterly cold, and blowing wind gusts up to 50 kmph. The 210's were being thrown from one side of the 8 ring to the other at 300 yards. But we had fun!!!
