Yep. we're having one.
The VRA is a bit slow getting the poster out because it has F/TR listed on it.

Alan has all the details and will no doubt reply with them.

I notice the flyer does not have the regular VRA stamp of approval, does this mean F/TR is off since VRA approval was a condition of holding it by the Rosedale committee?

I can you assure that the OPM is on, and that we are confident enough about F/TR that the badges and trophies have been acquired. We've even been able to organise range medallions. My understanding is that we have VRA approval, and any hold-up with a stamped copy of the flyer is simply a procedural glitch.

Here's a link to the OPM web page : http://www.ozfclass.com/rrr/prizemeeting2012.htm .

And the flyer : http://www.ozfclass.com/rrr/pdf/OPMFlyer12.pdf

Some highlights are :
  • Yes F/TR is definitely on
  • The 1000yd One Shot Wonder is on again
  • Electronic Scoreboard (first in Australia?)
  • Paid markers led by the Aldridge twins
  • $5 per night powered camp sites
  • Speedway will NOT be on next door

So hopefully we'll get a good turn out again. We continue to get good support for F/TR at club shoots (6 last Saturday), so hoping those who are interested will support it at the OPM.

Looking forward to a well run prize meeting. Always a great event, keep up the great work!

Congrats to the organisers for expanding the event list, this certainly takes a lot of work when you take into account the added cost of badges / medals and the like.

See you all there.

But what discipline will I shoot in???? It is too confusing......so much choice :-)

For the last couple of shoots you chose the 38yd mound, and wouldn't reveal your scores  . We go back to 1000yd you know.

1000 yards, really? Who'd be mad enough to still shoot over that distance

I like 38 yards, as I don't even need to use a scope, I just point and shoot. Then clean, then shoot, then clean, then shoot........I'm over cleaning. Finally at 50 rounds through the 7mm. Do I still need to clean?

Go F/TR

Post by bartman007 »

Hi All,

Looks like the VRA are happy with the flyer after all. The updated stamped flyer is on the VRA website.

Cool, now lets just enjoy the shoot. And if the F/TR boys and girls get a good field of competitors, good on them! The more that we get to a shoot, the better for our movement!

Roll on progress.
