Which barrel vise and action wrench

All things going to plan I should be in the market for a barrel vice and action wrench come the end of next week.

What are people using or recommend for the vice and rear action wrench? Action is a savage target action. The nut will not be used.

The two setups i've seen advertised are the procal one and the RPE from BRT and i've found no pictures of the procal one.

I would suggest the Farrell

Farrell Barrel Vise (I have one and would not get any other)

Get a rear entry action spanner not port one
Pro Cal shoud have one

The Farrel looks pretty rigid. How well does it handle the tapered barrels?

Is there anywhere locally to get one.? Sinclair's postage has gotten ridiculous lately.

Yes i've seen the BRT one as they have a pic on their site and their kit comes with an action wrench.

The procal one I don't know what it looks like???

The James Corbett one looks a little bit too industrial for me and he doesn't advertise the action wrenches.

But it seems the Farrel is the only one people are actually using.

The Farrell works well for any barrel the 2 bolt lock down is the way to go stay away from the four bolt versions
I often change barrels on the mound with my vise bolted to my tow bar
The BRT version looks good to me.

one thing about your stolle, if a 12" shifter is too small for the receiver, the next size up will fit. those big flats are useful for more than bedding.
you could even lash out and get a snapon top of the line open ender just for the job.
and of course stilson marks on the barrel are much better at cooling than those made by a chaindog.
