I am not going to bite this time. We have at least 2 dozen INCH actions shooting in the World Championships in October. There are no short ranges shot in the Palma matches, long range is what the INCH is designed for.
I already know the performance of the INCH actions, we see it every weekend. The front locking people in the club can't bring themselves to talk about it....
Please have a go, no problem here. The INCH will be doing the talking soon enough.
The stiffness is a good point. The only INCH people have seen is the LIGHTWEIGHT one, which is 38mm diameter, 1mm diameter larger than the Barnard, and made from steel double the tensile strength, and at least 15 points higher in Rockwell C scale hardness. The "normal" size for the INCH is 40mm diameter. These are simple facts provided, seeing as it was raised.

On a more serious note Rod, I am curious why your INCH action performs better at the longer ranges.
Does it compensate like some rifles did in days gone by at the longer ranges? I am curious.

Cameron,
'Compensation' is a theory, and just that. The difference noticed at the time on behavour of various locking systems was mostly due to the fact the SMLEs were having their lugs closed horizonally, while Mausers were vertically bolted...Add to this the flexibility of the action itself....and the fact it was stressed to the extreme shooting the 7,62 for which it was not intended!!!!
The actions Rod mentions will not only shoot the Palma, but also the whole Queens and various team amtches at all distances....
