Alan,

The constitution covers most things and as Barry has pointed out "extra ordinary council vacancies shall be filled by council, for the remainder of the term of the councillor concerned. " There are two extra ordinary council vacancies to be filled at the curent time. How council decides to fill the two vacancies , well lets hope that the members agree with what is decided.

Mick,

As far as I'm concerned, the council is elected by us. We therefore should trust them to do the right thing in this situation.

Alan , with an election every twelve months , lets hope its a healthy trust and not "blind faith".
