I had a look at the calendar and it seems the F/TR shooters will be able to shoot F/TR for 9 days in South Australia with a match rifle comp, lead up and Queens Prize. Should be worth the drive for 9 days of shooting for those with F/TR rifles from 30 Sept to 7 Oct.

Actually the Match Rifle isn't F/TR - you can shoot off a pedestal front rest. You CAN shoot F/TR in the Victorian Match Rifle at Stawell first weekend in November.

ftr shooters at the sara queens are actually competing in the savage cup event.
this is so named due to the donation by savage of a savage ftr rifle for the winner.
the cup is a perpetual trophy.
we owe the safclass assn. and Richard braund, as well as savage, a great debt of gratitude.
we hope that the winner will respond in kind, and make themselves available for photos in order to give something back to the sponsor.
keep safe,
bruce.
