I never met Laurie in person, spoke to him via phone when in France, 2008.

G'day Brad

I can't find the dates for the Queens on the WARA web site, but my copy of the MDRA calendar has the Duke/Queens running from 24 to 27 September. A 22/250 has won the WA Queens before so no reason you won't be in with a good chance!!

best regards

Where do I buy some good 140 grain 6,5mm projies from????

Sorry Rod, I missed this post of yours. I get my 6.5mm projectiles from Dave Kerr at Progress Equipment. He usually has both 142 SMK and 139 Lapua Scenars.

Mark, we now have 5 definite names for the FO event, and likely 2-3 more at this point. Can you fwd costs to provide medals and badges for the FO event at the WARA Duke and Queens. Woody Engineering may sponsor this cost to make it more "attractive" to WARA to run it.

Otherwise, we only need names to enter, that will secure the event.

F Open @ WA Queens 2010

Post by Warwick Brown »

It is going to happen regardless of numbers and there will be range medals and a number 1 cloth badge for the F open winner. There is talk of the possibility of a new barrel as a prize as well. It will be shot on electronic targets and you will, if you make the effort to come over and shoot, be shooting against some F Open WA shooters that you haven't shot with before, that will test your metal.
If you need billot or info on the shoot ring Mark Hamesley 0412534518 or Warwick Brown 0414270973.
It was great to see Ken Melgard make the effort last year for number 2 badge in F Standard..........

Hello all,

Just a brief follow up on this subject, which is probably appropriate at this time just before the WARA Queens next month:

It is not shown due to timing of the printing, but Actionclear is sponsoring the FS and FO divisions at the WARA Queens to the value of $500 for the outright winner. I think it will be interesting to see how the FO and FS people shoot for the same prize. This is the same prize as the winner of Target Rifle, so things can't be fairer from that point of view.

Mark Hamersley tells me there are 7 definites so far for FO, which includes Mark and myself. If anyone is thinking about coming over for the drive or whatever, please come and have a good time, we will look after you as best we can.

I hope to have my barrel fitted in the next few weeks, so I can fire form some brass!!

Alan, are you still coming over? Anyone else?

Rod,

Yep. Looking forward to it. I don't know of anyone else in F-Open from SA or the eastern states who intends going at this stage. Does that mean I'll get ganged up on?

Hi Alan

No ganging up at all, not sure about the sledging pack we have been working on though - just kidding :) .

We look forward to seeing you here (and anyone else travelling to Perth for the Queens). Are you going to camp on the range? If not I've got a spare room available if you don't mind being 30min from Swanbourne.

best regards

Now that's hospitality! You're a godsend Mark. I had resorted to looking for accommodation about 30 mins away anyway. I'll be in touch.

Hi Alan,Denise and I will not be shooting W A queens this year, we had enough after last year. We will be shooting in the eastern states for 9 weeks and looking for a property over there so we can get back to what we realy enjoy
