I certainly meant no disrespect to Emile. Something obviously came loose on him as mentioned earlier. He was going really well too. Unfortunately he pulled out of queens because of it.

Your post was not disrespectful. JohnK seems to think you were having a "crack" but I certainly didn't.
Looks like Mr Davies is beginning to wind on the pressure. What he needs is a very late night out on the town (or spotlighting).

Rod shot very well, Cameron not far behind. Rod obviously got some sleep and was firing on all cylinders. Nice day with lots of 60s

Looks like my advice was not taken last night. He's now cleared out by 7 points!
Seriously, awesome shooting Rod Davies

I think Jim used his 223 to make it even more impressive.

Rod leads by 6 going into 1000. Storms forecast and that monkey on his back is starting to jump up and down!

Congratulations Jim Blomfield (who won the shootoff for the Queens with his 223 at 1000). Nothing to be taken away from Daryl who shot superbly too and got the grand agg in FS. Also well done Jenni in FS -B. Cheers.

Back home now. Thanks for the kind words. I,m very happy with the way I went and how my equipment performed. It was a great shoot, getting to meet overseas shooters I have chatted to on other forums, as well as shooting along with Jannie Els (South African F Open team Captain) and Emil Preslic (USA Chief Coach). It certainly made it a memorable shoot, being able to look along the names on the boards, seeing all the best Target Rifle shooters in the world together.
Congrats especialy to Jim Blomfield and Darryl Barlow who shot unbelievable scores for a 223 and 308 in those conditions and ranges.
The winners of the main A grade Palma Target Rifle were John Widden and Sherri Gallagher from USA, just ahead of Ozzie Jim Bailey. Hope the Ozzies can bring home the bling in the main World Palma Championship events coming up.
Paul, I didnt use the 6.5 Gertrude in the Queens. Once the barrel ran in, it went out of tune, I couldnt get it right in the lead up so I stuck with a 6mm Dasher and 284 for the Queens.

Congrats to Rod. He did not faulter and deserved the win big time.
Congrats to all the other winners.
It was great to talk with some of the international shooters. Bryan Litz and John Whidden had interesting information on bullets etc.
