Hi paul , If the 2850 area is where you are keen on then i would say Re25 is well worth a try.. If the top players in US 1000yd BR are any indication then a low/ low pressure load of Re25 should do the job..JR.. Jeff Rogers [quote="Paul Janzso"]Hi Steve.
I'm not really looking fore blistering speeds with the 230gn Bergers just accuracy around the 2850fps area.
Saying that I don't have a chronograph but I think Ian Pavy is offering me his old crony so he can buy the latest model.
When I find an accurate load I just make range cards for the diferent rifle ranges I shoot at, so when I go to a OPM I know how much elevation to dial onto my scope.
With my 300 WSM I use the 210gn Berger VLD's and I'm only launching them around 2850fps. The rifle is comfortable to shoot, accurat and barrels are not burnt out over nite.
I will be using the 300 Win Mag on Sunday at a club shoot to get a 300 zero, I will let you know how it goes.
Cheers

Hi Jeff
Thanks for that info.
I will run with the 2217 as I have a few kg's of it.
I will be trying it at Barcalden RC tomorrow, 300 yards, it is the first of our club shoots for the year.

Cheers
Paul

Range report.
Wind was from the left at 11mph changing to almost straight down range.
First range I shot a 60.5 second range 58.2 I lost the 2 points left and right over estimating the wind strength.
Recoil was easily manageable and I'm happy with the accuracy.
Cheers
Paul
