Yes for the nightforce . I have vortex pst and it seems to be just as good as the nightforce . GS .

I have a Nightforce NXS 8-32 with NP-R2 reticle and 1/8" clicks. Tracks spot on and very good optics. Don't know if I like the idea of FFP on a F Class scope.

uncluttered reticile are best IMO all those cross hashes just get in the way
the targets have rings learn to wind.
And I seen ppl use the wong hash and cost them dearly (ask MartyL about that)

Nightforce have some of the best in this league

Comp DDR-2 (Better than the original) with 10MOA wind arm
The Sightron are good
The MARCH good but over priced
Weaver good value but fixed power
Leupold un proven not sure about the reticle from what I have seen don't like it

Marty has the best F class reticle, if you havent seen it you really are missing out.

Im happy with a fine cross hair and a dot- the sightron and weaver ones are good enough for me as I hold off. Tried hash type reticles in the past and its easy to get lost.

Brad the hash Reticle was the one ML used originally

Very special indeed Richard. It does utilise hash marks but is quite uncluttered. There are even user instructions on how to make the best of it...

Yes so I have heard

Holding on the wrong hash is the same as winding the wrong way or holding the wrong ring on the target - it happens - and it tends to happen more when you are unfamiliar and learning how to use any of the systems. With practice, whichever system you choose will become second nature and "winding errors" become less prevalent. (HOPEFULLY! ). One of the advantages of holding minute hashes is you can drum it in to your head a pure minute call on every shot. When learning to read wind I feel this is a handy advantage - whether winding or holding if you can relay to your brain the wind in minutes on every shot it helps pound it in to that mushy flesh that tries to trick you too often. !

I am very happy with my Nightforce BR 12-42 x 56 scope and my other NXS scopes. I also have a March that I am less happy with.

In the near future I will be buying another scope. I thought about trying another brand but after the excellent support shown by Lightforce in sponsoring the "Shoot for Autism" at Grantville. I will be buying another Nightforce BR scope.

I like the DD reticle as I've found as a aiming off shooter that the spotter usually ends up very close to the inner end of the horizontal stadia bars so I plonk the end (with minor hold off) where I want the bullet to go and let it rip. Works for me!

hi john, like ned above i'm currently shooting my 6BR with a NF 12-42X56BR but mine has the NP-R2 reitcle and i had the Siii 10-50X60 with the TD reticle as you know.

i'm very happy with the NF, it's heavy but in every other way it's hard to fault. there are a few stores selling them in oz under $1500 at the moment too

I used an 8-32 nightforce BR for a long time and loved it in everyway except one. That being the 6 mins per turret rotation. My simple mind would get lost after passing the first full turn. I guess this is no issue for benchrest guys shooting 300 or less.

Long time Steve, I hope all is well

Do you have any reasons for not buying the sightron?
I know you ran into a windage issue due to being on the limits of adjustment.
Was this a mount issue or just the nature of the scope?

I have the coin now for either or and its just a matter of making up my mind.

The price tag and extra mag/adjustment of the sightron is winning for me so far

Out of all those choices i would go the sightron. They perform very well for the coin. I use a nightforce br on my varmint gun wont ever use it on my f class gun again.
