Hi Brad,
I had weird throat erosion in 6BR using 2206H at around 3000fps. Looked like a oxy torch had melted metal and it flowed in weird patterns. Re-chambered and used 30.2 / 2208 and throat still looks good after about 750 rounds. Previous chamber around the 1000 mark. Could be 2206H and 6mm barrels. Mine was a Maddco.
Cheers,
Trevor.

Re: 2209 in Dasher
Interesting Trevor. 3000fps in a straight BR is definitely pushing fast. But I didnt think it was stressing the dasher much. Anyway Im looking forward to the new year and shooting the 6BR at club shoots for sure.

Re: 2209 in Dasher
Was thinking the same. I've run Berger 108s & Sierras at just on 2900 with either 2208 or N540.
Re: 2209 in Dasher
Can say that 2209 shoots fine after this mornings test, it can shoot inch groups at 300, very happy,
Next test is 2209 in the 6.5x47
and yes , I do have a lot of 2209 to use
