I'm in the process of making one up to UL1700 specs. I have components for 2 just in case i stuff the first one up. I have no reason to think they won't work. Only about 5-$6 so nothing much lost.

Hi all, sorry for the slow reply I haven't been here for a while and I didn't see any emailed notifications. Unfortunately the combination of Melbourne's Covid19 restrictions, the birth of our daughter and having no desire to attend my local range due to a whole range of club level issues I haven't been able to develop this any further. I have used it a bit in the paddock with success but haven't had the time to evaluate identical loads against different trigger types. FWIW the initial results have been good enough that I will continue to use it on the ad hoc basis that I still use the Lab Radar. When we hopefully return to competitive level shooting I will post an update. Any questions in the interim feel free to ask.

James, I must be a little heavy handed with the vibration sensor or I have the wrong one. The vibration sensor has 2 pins, 1 is a solid pin that can be soldered easily, the other is a small copper wire which breaks easily without to much effort. Lucky they are cheap, the other bits have solid wires to solder.

Yep a little tricky, the three common sensitivities are set by the thickness of that wire as it's literally just coiled arround the central pin. Once built I pot (fill) the whole assembly with 5 minute epoxy and haven't broken my prototype yet but it's only had about 50 200gn Ftr rounds over it and a bunch of .22 for testing.

I'm thinking a PCB is the way to go, easy to solder components without breakage. If i could get a plastic rail mount it would be ideal rather than sticking velcro to the side of the rifle for attachment of the trigger. Hmm 3D printers??
